Running a childcare centre means keeping track of many things that can change throughout the day. Staffing, room ratios, schedules, training and compliance all demand attention, but they don't always demand it at the same moment. Treating every piece of information equally would only make the administrator's job harder.
For Kindertales, we designed the dashboard around operational awareness. Important centre information is organised into focused views and reusable widgets, helping directors and supervisors understand current conditions while maintaining consistency across the wider management experience.
The Problem
A childcare centre has too many moving parts to watch equally.
Administrators need to maintain awareness across people, rooms, schedules and compliance requirements at the same time. The design challenge was deciding what deserved immediate visibility and what could remain secondary, so the dashboard supported daily oversight instead of simply displaying more administrative data.
